Where are abatey products made?

Most of abatey’s products are made in Miami. All are made either by Mariel Muñiz, Abatey’s founder, or by carefully selected artisans.

How do essential oils work?

Essential oils work either topically, through the olfactory system, or through ingestion (abatey’s formulations are not for ingestion). When they are diluted they can be massaged into the skin, where they are absorbed. When essential oils are inhaled, the olfactory nerves transmit the scent molecules to the brain.

Are your essential oils natural?

Yes. Our blends are formulated with 100 percent pure, undiluted essential oils with no synthetic additives, which is the ideal chemical composition for therapeutic use.

How long do essential oils last?

Different essential oils have different lifespans, most of which are between one and eight years. Since abatey’s blends are with multiple oils, the lifespan of our diffuser blends is from one to three years. Our roll-on blends last a bit longer because the carrier oil we use in order to for them to be safe and effective for topical use is jojoba oil, and that extends the lifespan.

Are your teas made with natural ingredients?

Yes, our teas are all-natural, loose-leaf teas that combine several potent health enhancing ingredients.

What do you use to make your candles?

Our candles are made with all-natural coconut-apricot wax, premium grade fragrance and essential oils. They have organic cotton wicks. Our AbaLux Collection candles are housed in a handmade reusable ceramic container created by ceramic artist Natalie Flores Luxat. After the candle has completed burning, the container can be repurposed as a cup, planter, or other decorative object.
